DIRECTOR
Andrea Behring, better known as Andi, was born and raised in Los Angeles. In 2006, Andi moved to Northern California and attended Sacramento State on a Track and Field scholarship, where she went on to set the school record in the indoor shot put and served as the team captain.
After graduating with her degree in Film Production in 2011, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue her career and dreams of being a filmmaker. She started working as a production assistant in locations on The Vampire Diaries, where she picked up trash, set up tents, and learned to scout, among so many things. Through the years she worked her way up to head Location Manager, running her own department on shows such as Black Lightning, Boy Erased, and Dynasty.
While working in locations and learning as much as she could in the field, Andi has also always been writing, directing, and producing on the side in her spare time. She has been featured in over 50+ film festivals for the last four shorts she directed, and also recently directed four episodes of the reboot TV series Dynasty on the CW and Netflix. She has also directed an episode of Tom Swift, a sci-fi series on the CW.
Her production company - And D Productions - continues to make their own projects, and continues to tour the festival circuit with her latest short Attest. She goes by “&D” for short, a moniker coined to mimic her company logo, while spelling out her name phonetically as “And-Dee”.
Andi's dedication extends far beyond her own projects, as she finds uplifting others along the journey equally as rewarding. She frequently collaborates with Georgia State University to work with their students at various events such as the “Actors Refresh” helping foster their growth in the industry. She pursued her own passions by earning a degree in Film Production from Sacramento State University, while on a track and field scholarship for throwing the shot put and the discus. Shortly after graduating, she relocated to Atlanta, where she now resides with her partner Alli, their dog, and two cats.
