Andrea Behring, better known as Andi, was born and raised in Los Angeles. In 2006, Andi moved to Northern California and attended Sacramento State on a Track and Field scholarship, where she went on to set the school record in the indoor shot put and served as the team captain. She was also an NSCA All American, as well as an Academic All American.

After graduating with her degree in Film Production, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue her career and dreams of being a filmmaker. She started working as a production assistant in locations on The Vampire Diaries, where she picked up trash, set up tents, and learned to scout, among so many things. Through the years she worked her way up to head Location Manager, running her own department on further shows such as P Valley, Black Lightning, and Dynasty. She has also location scouted for projects such as Fly Me To The Moon, Will Trent, The Originals, Legacies, Triple 9, and more.

While working in locations and learning as much as she could in the field, Andi has also always been writing, directing, and producing on the side in her spare time. She has been featured in over 50+ film festivals for the last four shorts she directed.

Andi started her episodic career by directing four episodes of the reboot TV series Dynasty on the CW and Netflix. Next she directed Tom Swift, a sci-fi series also on the CW. Most recently, Andi has directed three episodes of Chicago Med for Wolf Entertainment, the first of which aired on NBC in February of 2025. The episode is titled “Take a Look in the Mirror”. She has since directed two additional episodes in season eleven - episode six, titled “The Story of Us” which aired November 5th, 2025, and episode fourteen, “The Cost of Living” which will air on NBC on March 25th, 2026.

Her production company  - And D Productions - continues to make their own projects, and continues to tour the festival circuit with her latest short Attest. She goes by “&D” for short, a moniker coined to mimic her company logo, while spelling out her name phonetically as “And-Dee”.

Andi's dedication extends far beyond her own projects, as she finds uplifting others along the journey equally as rewarding. She frequently collaborates with Georgia State University to work with their students at various events such as the “Actors Refresh” helping foster their growth in the industry. She currently lives in Atlanta, where she now resides with her wife Alli, their dog, and two cats. Andi continues to direct episodic television as well as fundraiser for her first feature, co-written with writing partner, Walter Smith.
